Title:
Araya’s Addiction
Author:
Jocelyn Dex
Genre:
Erotic Paranormal Romance
Length:
30,500 words
Publisher:
Ellora’s Cave
When Kean wakes up naked, collared and locked in a cell, he knows
thinking with his dick has finally gotten him into trouble. Part Incubus, Kean
enjoys scorching sexual liaisons, a habit that has found him trapped, forced to
help a Sempire rescue her daughter from certain death.
Unwilling to aid in anyone’s imprisonment, Araya initially refuses her
mother’s “gift”, but the passion simmering between her and Kean is undeniable.
As they explore their shared lust, both Araya and Kean enact schemes to save
each other. Their best laid plans may awaken emotions that will bind them
forever.
Tip: A Sempire is a semen-reliant female demon. :-)

Araya reached the door and the sight
that met her eyes almost floored her. Through the fog of the glass shower door,
she watched Kean’s muscled form beneath the flow of water, his head bent
forward, one hand pressed against the shower wall in front of him. The other
hand gripped his shaft. He pumped it with long, slow strokes from base to tip,
sometimes lingering at the head.
His eyes opened as if he sensed her
presence, and he inclined his head toward her. She wanted to close the door,
but the alluring scene held her captive, her feet frozen in place. He stopped
stroking himself just long enough to slide open the shower door, giving her a
completely unobstructed view of the water running down his muscled body,
running off the thick head of his erection.
Not only did her mouth water, her
pussy ached and flooded with desire.
He resumed the stroking, faster this
time, sometimes breaking the motion to slide his fingers over his balls. She
saw the muscles in his arm tense as he squeezed and stroked harder, faster.
His strained voice startled her out of
her daze. “If you want it, hurry.”
Jocelyn was born in Iowa and currently
resides in Texas. Her preferred vacation locations are islands with sandy

Kathye Quick's Braeden and Janne Blog Tour (Interview/Giveaway)
Welcome to Book Lovin’ Mamas! We are so glad to have you
here today!
1. Tell us 2 things
about yourself that readers may not be able find out about you on the web.
- I LOVE Duck Dynasty. It is hysterical. Not that I would want to be married to
any of the Beards, but they all make me laugh. Si is a hoot.
- I’ve gone to Iceland 3 times to see the Northern Lights and haven’t seen them yet. Last trip the locals told me that the Aurora was so bright just the day before, people were seeing the lights from landing planes. I get there and BAM – the sky clouds up. Do you detect another trip in the future? Heck yes. Need to cross that off my bucket list.
2. What does a typical writing day look for you?
I have no typical
day. Each one is different. I try to write at least 3 pages every day but
that doesn’t always work out very well.
Since I work all day, sometimes I do have to force myself to write. I do that by thinking that if I don’t get the
manuscript submitted, someone else is going to write the exact same story and
get there first. I don’t even want to
tell you what I said when GRIMM came on TV.
My writing partner and I had been tossing around a similar idea for
about 2 years. Should have written it.
3. Could you give us a little sneak peek of how your research process happens with a new book or series?
God bless Google. You can find a little of anything on the
web. That gets me started and then if I
need to go deeper, I hit the Library and find out more.
4. When you’re not writing, what are your hobbies/interests?
I love gardening;
flowers and vegetables.
5. Who are some of your favorite authors?
Patt Mihailoff for historicals and westerns. Cris Anson for the occasional erotica and of course, Marion Zimmer Bradley for the Mists of Avalon.
6. When you are deep into writing what is your biggest pet peeve?
Phone calls and
writers’ block.
7. Do you ever base
your characters on people you know in real life?
Yes, no one is ever
safe with me. My Daughter-in-law got me
a shirt that says “Be careful or you’ll end up in my novel,”
8. Who is your favorite character you’ve ever written?
I love Amber Drake
from this urban fantasy I co-authored with Patt Mihailoff. She’s strong, yet vulnerable, and is thrust
into a situation that she must accept even if it costs her everything. The book, FIREBRAND, is getting a facelift
with a re-release, new cover and added scenes.
Can’t wait for that.
9. If you could be
any one of your characters, from any book you’ve written which one would you be
and why?
I think I would be
Janne, She gets to kiss knights!! No, seriously, she is a very complex
character, torn between who she is and who she must be. I like her!
10. Do you have anything specific you want to say to your readers, maybe about what’s coming in the future from you or anything else?
Yes. Thanks for coming on the tour. I appreciate all of you. Hopefully you’ll like Braeden and Janne
enough to try Book three – Reynar, the Warlord’s Honor. Reynar is Janne’s half-brother who has been
raised by Mordred, his father, to be a heartless warlord. The book tells his story and how he finds
redemption. It’s about one-third done
Thank you so much and we hope you will come back again! :)
CYNTHIA AND CONSTANTINE
Beyond Camelot – Brother Knights,
Book 1
Lady Cynthia of Abertaine is trapped.
Not only has the man she is to marry, Sir William Leyborne, not been back to
the castle for over ten years, but she’s also not a titled Lady. Lord Simon of
Cowell, a renegade warlord aligned with Mordred against Arthur and his Knights,
has declared himself sovereign over Leyborne Castle and everything that once
belonged to Sir William - including Cynthia.
Sir Constantine, Knight of the Round
Table, has come to the shire to give Cynthia the news that William has fallen in
battle. With him is William’s oral will giving all he owns to Cynthia as though
they had been wed. But when he finds the shire under the control of an evil
warlord, he knows he cannot leave without first freeing Cynthia and driving
Simon and his soldiers from the land.
Drawn together by an attraction older
than time, Cynthia and Constantine soon discover that though a vow made by a
knight’s honor has brought them together, it may just also cost them their
lives.
BRAEDEN AND JANNE
Beyond Camelot – Brother Knights,
Book 2
Duty and desire clash to save a new
Camelot from the sons of Mordred.
After his brother is made king by a dying Arthur, Braeden hopes to help rebuild
Camelot and carry on Arthur's vision for the kingdom. Together with the new
queen, and her companion Janne, a new era begins.
Although the ways of Merlin and
Morganna are banned from court, Janne holds to the goddess. She finds the mind
overrules the heart as passion explodes each time she and Braeden are
together.
With the sons of Mordred, plotting
the ultimate revenge…brother versus brother…there is no peace to be had in
Camelot. When Janne is exposed as a Druidess, she and Braeden must find a way
to expose the plot to take down Camelot while maintaining the ideals the
majestic realm was built upon.
Born long ago in a place not so far
away, Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Kathryn Quick has been writing since the
Sisters in St. Casmir’s Grammar School gave her the ruled yellow paper and a
number two pencil. She writes contemporary and career romances, romantic
comedies, historical romances
as well as urban fantasy.
She has been a member of New Jersey
Romance Writers and Romance Writers of America since 1990 and considers it an
honor to have been NJRW President in 1992 and 2001. She is one of the
founding members of Liberty States Fiction Writers, a multi-genre writers’
organizations dedicated to furthering the craft of writing and helping aspiring
writers move onto publication.
Kathye originally wanted to be
President of the United States or an Organic Chemist, but somehow life got in
the way and she got married right out of high school and had a set of twins two
years later. The Presidency seemed out of reach and night school to get
her Ph.D. to create new molecule that would ultimately result in the betterment
of humankind seemed a little time consuming while trying to raise twins, so she
decided to write instead.
In her "other" life, Kathye
is married to her real-life hero Donald and has three grown sons all having
adventures of their own and three “bonus” grandchildren. She is a
die-hard New Jersey Devils fan and works for Somerset County government (as
close as she could get to the White House) and is plotting a novel about a new
molecule that will ultimately result in the betterment of humankind.

C.J. Ellisson's "Death's Servant" Blog Tour (Interview/Review) + Giveaway
Welcome to our stop on C.J. Ellisson's "Death's Servant" Blog Tour.
1. Describe yourself in three words. Dedicated, hardworking, and driven.
2. Tell us a little bit about Death's Servant and why readers should check it out?
I wrote this book for my existing readers, but it will appeal to new readers as well. It's a prequel book on one of their favorite characters and it explains the 'how' on his involvement with the ancient vampire who runs the V V Inn with her husband. The novella is a great set up for the series without giving anything away on the later stories.
3. What inspired you to write the Prequel to the VV Inn Series?
As an author, we're more aware of the complex, unwritten backgrounds that motivate and drive our characters than our readers are. I've always known why Jon served the married couple (even though it was apparent he would never be a part of their union), what made Rafe seek out Vivian, and what tragedies and triumphs shaped Dria/Vivian to be the ruthless killer she is today. Sharing those tales with my readers has always been in the back of my mind. To find out they wanted to read them felt like a dream come true. Now I just have to write them all!
4. What was the easiest/hardest scene to write in "Death's Servant? (without giving too much away)
The scene where Jon is at his absolute lowest, carrying the woman he cares about in his arms. His emotions were so raw and painful, I worried I wouldn't be able to capture it well.
5. If "Death's Servant" was made into a movie, who do you picture playing each characters part?
LOL! I've always had certain actors in my mind to play the characters, but as the actors age I'm sure so will readers' expectations of whom they picture, too. I see Jensen Ackles as Jon, Daniel Craig as Rafe, and Angie Everhard as Dria/Vivian.
6. How did you come up with the title of the book?
Dria/Vivian has often thought of herself as death. Eventually, everyone she loves dies and she somehow feels she's to blame. Jon is her vampire servant, so it just seemed fitting.
7. Do you ever suffer with writer's block and if you do, how do you deal with it?
I sometimes have difficulty writing, but I'm not so sure I'd call it a block. I have health concerns and family obligations that often keep me from writing. I've never had a desire to write and sat down only to find there were no words. Life can suck the creative juices right out of us, but being a full time writer means you have to suck it up and push through the hard times.
8. Fun Question: If a zombie apocalypse were to happen, what kind of weapon would be your primary choice to kill the zombies?
Hmm… if we go with the assumption that a double tap to the head is enough to keep them down for good, then I'd want a reliable rifle with a huge magazine and lots of boxes of ammo. ;-)
9. Fun Question: If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you must have to survive?
Since the question doesn't say stranded alone, I'd want my husband, an emergency kit with flares, knives, a gun, matches, and medical supplies inside, and a big tackle box filled with lots of gear to catch fish. The rest we'd figure out together ;-)
10. What is up next for C.J. Ellisson?
I've got the next book in my contemporary erotic romance series, A Walk on the Wild Side, coming out in June. Avoiding Mr. Right is Carla and Andy's story and I can hardly wait to share it with my readers! I hope they enjoy the couple's steamy adventures as much as Tony and Heather's from Vanilla on Top.

Description:
Jonathan Winchester has clashed with his alpha one too many times. After another argument he leaves the Manitoba pack, his only home since the werewolf attack that changed his life. He returns to his home state of Virginia to start a new life free of pack politics. Jon finds work and meets a young waitress, Raine, who appears to be a lone werewolf, too.
As their relationship progresses, Jon’s embroiled in more intrigue than he bargained for and a danger bigger than he can handle. He's running scared until his own alpha tendencies surface, making him unable to leave the pretty werewolf’s problems behind. The young man is desperate to save Raine—even if his efforts may lead him straight to death.
Journey along in this first prequel novel involving the favorite characters from the bestselling V V Inn series. Written at reader demand, this stand-alone story explains how the beloved Jonathan came to serve the deadly redheaded vampire, Dria.

My Review:
I literally read this book within a 2 hour period due to not being able to put it down. The first page alone had me sucked into the story. I usually cannot read books in such a short period due to having my husband and my little girls constantly interrupting me...but when it comes to C.J.'s stories, I end up locking myself away from the world. =)
Death's Servant is the highly anticipated prequel about Jon and how he meets Dria and becomes her servant. Jonathan definitely had his reasons of becoming Dria's servant and Dria definitely is one kick-butt vampire, who I adore!!!
Jon left the pack he has no known since he became a werewolf and now he is back close to where he grew up, but not too close since his parents do not know he is alive. He meets a lone wolf, Raine, and becomes quickly attached to her. Unfortunately, Raine has a secret and now she wants Jon to leave town before it is too late. When Jon finds out what is happening, it is up to him to save Raine and her pack. He meets Dria and asks her for help, but of course she does not make it easy for him.
This story definitely is fast-paced into the world of where Jon came from and how he met the beautiful vampire, Dria, and her husband, Rafe. I loved how C.J. told Jon's background and what happened to him. He definitely was screwed over a lot in the pack he was in. Poor guy! The girl he thought loved him...was definitely a b***h. I loved how Jon dealt with the person who he caught his girlfriend with.
I am so happy that C.J. told Jon's story. I also enjoyed the fact that she mentioned Williamsburg, VA in the story. =) I live about 30 minutes away from it and she also mentions D.C. and the way she described D.C. when Jon was there, it felt like I was actually visiting. (Now I need to make one last visit before I leave VA for good this summer)
The scene where Jon meets Dria and her mate...well...let's just say...you definitely want to read that part. C.J. knows how to write a very steamy scene. =)
If you love C.J.'s VV Inn Series and want to know how Jon came to know Dria and Rafe, then you will definitely want to read this prequel.
I give this prequel 5 full moons and highly recommend it to urban fantasy readers out there.

Description:
Aly Chase has worked for Paul Pierce for years, loving him from afar. He is handsome, rich, and the powerful CEO of Pierce Homes. Just when Aly has decided her love for him is futile and vows to move on, Paul begins to give Aly the attention she had always desired, forcing her to feel confused by his actions.
Then there's Aly’s best friend, Ethan Baker. He's sweet, handsome and charming. He is also in love with her. He's accepted that Aly and he will only be friends, until one day Aly realizes that her feelings towards Ethan are way more.
Aly is caught in between the man she’s loved for so long and the man that has always been there for her. As her feelings are pulled and tugged in both directions, she must make a choice before her distorted life loses both of them.
Who will end up winning Aly's heart?

My Review:
Laura Dunaway's first book "Distorted" is about a girl, Aly Chase, stuck between two guys, who love her and she has to decide, which one she wants to have a relationship with. She has the sexy, hot CEO of Pierce Homes that she has worked for three years now, Paul Pierce. He has had a steady girlfriend for those three years and she has been forced to watch him around his girlfriend. She knows that Paul has never shown any interest to her until something changes between the two. She has no idea what to think of it. All she knows is that Paul has a girlfriend and that girlfriend already suspects that Aly may be a problem. Aly has helped Paul with several of the projects for his company and she definitely is passionate about her job. She also has her best friend since college, Ethan, who works at Pierce Homes as well that has feelings for Aly since the minute he saw her at the bar those years ago.
Aly knew that Ethan had feelings for her, but never thought of him in that way until something happens between her and her boss and she has a new view of her best friend. Ethan has always been there for her through everything. She just never realized until now she may have always had feelings for him.
Laura Dunaway gives you a love triangle where you fall for both of the guys. Unfortunately, I lost my interest in Paul due to one incident he put Aly through. I could not forgive him and neither could Aly. She was definitely confused between Paul and Ethan and I definitely could not blame her.
I loved both of the guys...but Ethan stole my heart the minute he was introduced. He had been with her since day one. He even kept trying to state his feelings for her forever. Aly was just too hung up on her boss.
Paul definitely had my heart the beginning when he was introduced until his girlfriend gave Aly grief every time she was around. Poor Aly...I would have decked Paul's girlfriend, Casey.
I loved this book, although there were parts I did not like, but it was due to what Paul did to Aly and how Aly kept having her emotions get to her. She could not make up her mind between Paul and Ethan. The whole time...I was rooting for her hook her up with her best friend, Ethan. Seriously...why would she even consider Paul for what he did to her. I would have kicked him to the curb a long time ago.
Laura did an amazing job on her first book and I look forward to what she has in store next. I need to know what happens to a certain character. Laura definitely made me cry several times and want to throw my iPad across the room, but she did have me crying happy tears as well towards the end.
If you are a fan of contemporary romance and love triangles, you will definitely want to read Laura's debut novel, Distorted.
I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend it. Just be warned...your emotions will be going through a lot in this book and you may love Paul, or Ethan...or maybe even both. You may even want to slap around Aly sometimes. (just saying)

I stopped what I was doing and looked at him. He was just sitting there, casually watching me with the sweetest look on his face. My heart lurched and I was frozen.
His brows drew together. “I mean it,” he said.
I gave him a small smile. “Thank you,” I said quietly as I got his food out of the microwave. I put it on his plate and handed him a beer from the fridge. He smiled at me as he twisted up a mouthful on his fork and dove in.
I leaned on the counter, drinking another glass of wine, and watching him eat. He popped the cap off of his beer and took a long drink. He set the bottle down with a big, “Ahh,” and gave me a silly grin.
“Ethan, what did I do to deserve you?” I asked, suddenly very serious.
He stopped mid-chew and looked at me. “What brought that on?”
I sighed and set down my wine glass. “I don’t know. I just see you here, with me, being so cute, and I wonder. I mean, you know I’ve been in love with Paul for years, yet you never wavered, you stayed with me. And even now, when we’ve developed more to our relationship and I haven’t been able to give you any promises, you’re still here.”
He set his fork down and shoved off his stool, walking around the bar to come next to me. He grabbed my hips and pulled me to him, wrapping me in his arms. He kissed the top of my head, rubbing my back. “
Aly, you know better than that. I am here to stay, no matter what you decide. If you ultimately decide Paul is the man for you, or anyone else for that matter, I can’t say it won’t kill me, but I’ll always love you. We were friends first and we will be friends last, no matter what.”
Laura Dunaway has been married to her prince for 17 years and together they are raising three amazing kids. While she's always had a passion for reading and writing, it wasn't until this past year that she finally realized she should pursue her dream of writing a book. After many many attempts at starting one, Distorted was finally the one that flowed and before she knew it, she'd written The End. When she's not busy shuttling her kids to lessons and practices and making dinner, she's busy behind her computer writing her next book.
